Trenkwalder International has been sold to Droege Group
Droege Group, Dusseldorf, via Droege Capital GmbH is taking over a shareholding of more than 75% in Trenkwalder International AG in Schwadorf near Vienna. Through the entry of Droege Group as a majority shareholder, an important step towards the successful realignment and future development of the Trenkwalder Group has been taken.
Trenkwalder International AG is an employment agency with its headquarters in Schwadorf near Vienna and is among the leading personnel services specialists in Europe. The corporation currently employs about 70,000 workers and plans an overall turnover of about Euro 1 billion for 2011. In 1985, Richard Trenkwalder started out as a sole trader with a technical office. After he obtained the license to supply temporary workers in 1988, he became one of the pioneers of temporary work. The corporate expansion started in the nearby countries in 1992. Today, Trenkwalder has more than 350 sites in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Trenkwalder holds a leading position in most of these countries and will continuously capitalise on growth opportunities in this region.
Droege Capital is a subsidiary of the family-owned Droege International Group AG (Advisory & Capital) and makes direct investments in companies in situations of change, such as corporate spin-offs, succession plans or in SMEs with development potential.
Lincoln International acted as corporate finance advisor to Trenkwalder Privatstiftung and Trenkwalder International AG and supported the Company in the preparation and execution of the sale process. Following the successful sale of right4staff to GI Group, this transaction marks the second major Lincoln International deal in the European temporary staffing sector in 2011.
