TE Connectivity has sold Axicom high voltage business division to RCP
With the sale of Axicom high voltage business division, TE Connectivity, with the support of Lincoln International, has achieved an important milestone in its strategy to further focus its activities.
The Axicom high voltage business division is a global premium manufacturer of advanced products and solutions in the area of high voltage power transmission and holds long-standing relationships with international, blue-chip original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers. Its comprehensive product portfolio includes high voltage components and hollow composite insulators for a wide array of high voltage end applications, such as air/gas insulated switchgears, dead tank breakers, bushings and outdoor cable terminations. The Axicom high voltage business division is based in Wohlen, Switzerland, with a global salesforce and employs approximately 150 people.
Lincoln International acted as the exclusive mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisor to TE Connectivity in this complex carve-out and led a highly competitive process through all stages of the deal from preparation of marketing materials, buyer approach and handling, due diligence and negotiations, to the signing of a binding agreement with the buyer, RCP.
The transaction represents Lincoln International’s 18th successful corporate sell-side mandate in the DACH region since 2019.
The parties have agreed not to disclose any financial details.
Lincoln’s M&A practice not only provided access to a robust network of strategic and financial parties but also delivered exceptional transaction support to our United States-based M&A team and European business partners.
