Stirling Square Capital Partners has acquired Consensus Support Services from Caring Homes Group
Consensus Support Services is a market-leading provider of specialist residential and supported living services across the UK. Founded in 2005, Consensus operates a freehold property portfolio of more than 90 services, providing housing and care for approximately 600 supported individuals across high-acuity learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other complex needs. The company has a differentiated service offering that targets supporting service users with severe needs and has built a strong market position in this area. Consensus is also uniquely positioned as the clear UK market leader in Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) services, a rare genetic condition, providing specialist support to nearly 100 individuals across 13 services. Consensus has an industry-leading reputation with 94% of services rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and has an excellent long-term relationship with funders, working with more than 130 local authorities across the UK.
Advising Stirling Square in a competitive and complex auction, Lincoln’s corporate finance experts provided full buy-side process management and diligence support while giving invaluable sector insights, tactical support and crucial competitor intelligence. Lincoln’s Debt Advisory Group also supported the client to negotiate and secure a strong debt package that combined attractive opening leverage with flexible documentation enabling value-enhancing initiatives post completion; both critical to maximizing the attractiveness and deliverability of the client’s final offer in the auction. The transaction was signed on November 20, 2020 and completed on December 14, 2020.
