Resource Land Holdings has sold Resource Environmental Solutions to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce that Resource Environmental Solutions, LLC (“RES” or the “Company”) has been sold to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (“KKR”). The Company was a portfolio company of Resource Land Holdings, LLC (“RLH”), a natural resource-based real estate private equity firm based in Denver, Colorado. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, RES is the largest and fastest-growing provider of ecological solutions in the United States. The Company’s environmental conservation and restoration activities include permitting and environmental offset credits for restored wetlands, streams and species habitats to preserve land, enhance water quality and protect wildlife for future generations. Since the Company’s founding in 2007, several hundred companies across numerous industries, including electric transmission and distribution, renewable energy, commercial and industrial infrastructure development, automotive, mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals and local, state and federal governments, have worked with RES to facilitate their largest, most complex development projects.

Lincoln acted as the sell-side advisor to RLH and RES, working closely with the management team and members throughout the sale process. Aaron Patsch, Partner at RLH, commented, “Lincoln’s ability to effectively position RES and articulate its unique investment merits as a platform in a rapidly evolving industry contributed significantly to the successful execution of this transaction.”
