Platinum Equity has secured financing for the acquisition of Grupo Terratest
Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global investment bank focused on the mid-market, advised Platinum Equity on the financing of its acquisition of a majority interest in Grupo Terratest (Terratest). The structure includes a €20 million term loan from Oquendo Capital and a €10 million RCF from a multinational commercial bank.
Terratest is a Spain-based specialized international contractor providing foundation work, ground improvement and micro-tunnelling services for large-scale infrastructure projects and industrial, commercial and residential construction.
Lincoln acted as the exclusive financial advisor for Platinum and worked on all aspects of the financing, helping to structure, arrange and negotiate the different financing facilities. Proceeds from the new debt facilities, which consisted of a senior revolving credit facility provided by a multinational commercial bank and a senior term loan provided by Oquendo Capital were used to refinance the acquisition and provide for Terratest’s ongoing working capital and capital expenditure requirements.
