Koenig & Bauer AG has sold its exhaust air purification business to Dürr AG
Koenig & Bauer, the world’s oldest printing press manufacturer offering a uniquely broad product range targeting the different printing market verticals, has sold its non-core exhaust air purification business, KBA CleanAir, to the Clean Technology Systems environmental technology division of Dürr Group, a listed machinery and engineering group. KBA CleanAir formed the industrial exhaust air purification business of Koenig & Bauer’s KBA-MetalPrint subsidiary, which holds a market-leading position in the design, manufacture and distribution of technologically advanced metal decorating equipment and two-piece ovens. KBA CleanAir focuses on the design and distribution of RTO systems used in the printing industry, dye and paint manufacturing, surface treatment, animal carcass processing and the chemicals industry.
Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Koenig & Bauer and supported the management throughout the process. This included providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the process.
