IntelliMagic provides superior artificial intelligence operations analytics (AIOps) Software as a Service solutions to protect and optimize the availability, performance and capacity of business-critical IBM z/OS mainframe infrastructures and multi-vendor SAN Storage. The company’s solutions are used by the world’s largest financial institutions, information technology (IT) data centers, government bodies, insurers and retail companies. The solution is supported with optional add-on collaborative managed services provided by highly skilled mainframe experts. Headquartered in the Netherlands and employing approximately 63 full-time employees, the company has local sales offices in the U.S. and Germany to serve its customers worldwide.
The Deal
Over the course of 20 years, IntelliMagic has created a best-in-class AIOps software solution leveraging decades of mainframe knowledge. The business was built fully bootstrapped, showing strong and profitable growth. After 20 years, the owners of the business decided to look for a new shareholder to accelerate growth as part of a larger organization. Joining forces with IBM, IntelliMagic will leverage the company’s tools and scale to unlock significant synergy potential. The acquisition of IntelliMagic adds unique and high value-add z/OS mainframe AIOps capabilities to IBM’s comprehensive mainframe product portfolio which can be offered to IBM’s broad and global customer base.
