Infun Group has been sold to Grupo Industrial Saltillo
Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, has advised the shareholders of Infun Group (“Infun”) in its sale to Grupo Industrial Saltillo S.A.B de C.V. (“GIS”). Closing of the transaction is subject to GIS’ general assembly approval.
Established in 1948, Infun is a major international manufacturer of metal parts and components for the global automotive sector. Infun designs, produces and machines automotive components for powertrain, transmission and suspension systems. The company has 726 employees and a production capacity of 200,000 tonnes. Infun’s customers include major OEMs such as Ford and Renault. Infun is headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, and has facilities in Italy and China. In 2015, Infun had revenues of €207 million.
About Grupo Industrial Saltillo
GIS designs, manufactures and markets products in various industrial and consumer sectors. Within the automotive sector, GIS specializes in the manufacturing of gray and ductile iron components for transmission and brake systems. In 2015, GIS had consolidated revenues of MXN 11,275 million. GIS has been trading on the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1976. The acquisition of Infun is the second acquisition in Spain by GIS following the acquisition of Fuchosa in February of this year.
