Alchemist is a UK-based learning and development business focused on delivering bespoke learning experiences at scale to a blue-chip corporate and public sector client base. Specializing in leadership enablement and sales enablement, Alchemist programs are highly interactive, experiential and immersive and can be delivered virtually or face-to-face. Experiences are supported by Alchemist’s bespoke learning technology including the groundbreaking Learning Journey Platform.
The Deal
Horizon Capital have been mapping the corporate training market and identified Alchemist as the right platform to enter the sector and build and execute on a strong pipeline of accretive acquisition targets in the UK and the U.S. To support this buy-and-build strategy, Horizon appointed Lincoln International to negotiate and arrange a competitive financing package to support the day one majority investment as well as provide committed debt facilities to fund future acquisitions. Lincoln ran a disciplined process which concluded with lender DunPort Capital Management being identified as the most suitable financing partner for Horizon and Alchemist during the next phase of growth.
