Gallant Capital Partners has sold Aero Turbine to StandardAero, a portfolio company of Carlyle
Aero Turbine
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Stockton, California, Aero Turbine is a comprehensive provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and consultative repair solutions for military engines and accessories.
The Deal
In 2019, Gallant Capital partnered with Aero Turbine’s founder, Doug Clayton, and its CEO, Jim Simpkins. Under Gallant’s ownership, Aero Turbine dramatically increased its capacity and capabilities and expanded its addressable market to achieve significant revenue growth. After successfully transforming into an industry-leading defense MRO provider, Aero Turbine sought a new partner to support multiple initiatives designed to further accelerate its growth trajectory. The acquisition of Aero Turbine by StandardAero represents its 13th acquisition since 2015 and will expand its military engine and accessories capabilities for U.S. and foreign military customers.
