The Deal
Following continuous strong growth, the shareholders of Galileo Lebensmittel Group decided to find a new owner, who can capitalize on the momentum and further strengthen the business. Within the European frozen snacking market, Galileo demonstrates strong know-how in the production of mini pizzas in the private label segment. Following careful consideration of the potential buyer universe, Lincoln International designed a tailored process generating strong interest from financial as well as a selected number of highly motivated strategic investors. Ultimately, the shareholders of Galileo selected Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG as the preferred partner to continue the success story of the company and solidify its market-leading position. The acquisition enables Dr. Oetker to expand its presence in the frozen snack market. Galileo will continue to operate independently by its existing management.
