Fawn Industries has sold the EMS assets of Fawn Electronics to ACDi
Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, has announced that Fawn Industries, Inc. has sold the EMS assets of Fawn Electronics (“Fawn” or the “Company”) to American Computer Development Inc. (“ACDi”). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Fawn is a provider of high mix, complex electronics manufacturing services (“EMS”) to a wide range of customers in the Southeast region of the United States. The Company serves customers in high growth industries such as medical, nuclear energy, industrial controls, energy management, office automation, security, and transportation.
The Fawn operation brings a number of new capabilities to ACDi. The facility is certified to build nuclear products and also has expertise in the medical industry, outstanding capabilities for cables and harnesses, state of the art auto insertion equipment for thru hole printed circuit board (“PCB”) assembly, and bed-of-nails integrated circuit test capabilities. On the flip side, ACDi has capabilities that will help expand the Nashville operation, including an International Traffic in Arms (“ITAR”) registration to support manufacturing of defense-related equipment, in-house design services, and a state-of-the-art flying probe tester.
Lincoln acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the Company, working with the senior management team throughout the sale process. This included providing advisory expertise and assisting in the negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.
