Digita
Digita is the largest independent tower owner in Finland and a provider of critical national communications infrastructure. Its portfolio of approximately 600 strategically positioned sites, occupying many of the country’s prime tower locations; positioning Digita as the only network with 100% reach across the Finnish population and making it indispensable to its core TV / radio broadcast and mobile operator customers. Digita’s customer base includes multiple blue-chip customers such as Yle (the national broadcaster), all three mobile network operators, as all major TV & radio broadcasters and global content distributors. Digita leverages its tower infrastructure platform and sector expertise to offer a suite of complementary telecom infrastructure services across its rapidly growing data centers, IoT and private networks segments.
The Deal
The capital raise has enabled Digita to refinance and increase resources towards the execution of its growth strategy into complementary segments. Alongside a supportive sponsor in DigitalBridge, the largest global digital infrastructure sponsor with $48 billion of digital assets under management, the Digita management team was able to achieve a successful outcome by articulating a strong business model with a defensive regulated market position, its sticky multi-decade customer base and achievable growth strategy. Despite the challenging geopolitical turmoil and macroeconomic environment, Lincoln International was able to effectively position the business, resulting in a flexible and long-term financing solution for Digita and its sponsor.
