UNITY AG is a leading management consultancy that specializes in technology consulting and digital transformation processes. UNITY AG was founded in Büren, Germany in 1995 and currently has more than 400 employees across 14 locations. It is recognized as one of the most important management consultancies in the German market – ranked number 14 by the renowned Lünendonk list in 2024. UNITY AG has organised its services across seven service units, including Cyber Security, IT Transformation and Sustainability. Almost 400 staff at 14 locations deliver a comprehensive range of services to a broad client base, including AIRBUS, GEA, Lufthansa Technik, Mercedes-Benz and Miele. UNITY’s services follow the guiding principles of innovate, transform and realize, which constitute the foundation of the company’s consulting approach and safeguard successful project implementation. UNITY AG has grown at an average of 13 per cent per annum, significantly outperforming the overall market in Germany (which grew at approximately 7 per cent).

The Deal

This new strategic collaboration with Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) will allow the company to further leverage great growth opportunities. As a management consultancy, UNITY AG integrates seamlessly into, and will complement, DBAG’s portfolio in the information technology services and software sector, which accounts for a roughly 17% share of the total investment portfolio. The company will also benefit from DBAG’s sector expertise and network, including current and former investments such as Solvares Group, in-tech, Cloudflight, AOE, freiheit.com technologies and AKQUINET. This new collaboration was supported by a suitable and highly competitive financing that Lincoln International was able to secure and arrange in a timely manner. The financing will also accommodate future growth opportunities envisioned by both the company and the sponsor.
