Criatec has sold its stake in Imeve Indústria de Medicamentos Veterinários to private shareholders
Founded in 2007, Fundo de Investimento em Participações Criatec Capital Semente (Criatec) is the largest venture capital investment fund with a focus on innovation technology in Brazil. The company was formed by the Brazilian Development Bank and managed by Inseed Investimentos Ltda and Antera Gestão de Recursos S.A., the latter of which was later sold to A5 and renamed KPTL Investimentos Ltda. Criatec’s areas of interest are agriculture, water and energy, biotechnology, education, industrials, media, materials, information technology, transportation and logistics, healthcare and retail companies in Brazil. Criatec acquired a minority stake in Imeve in 2011.
Imeve is a biotechnology company engaged in the animal health and nutrition markets, providing an array of high value solutions that enhance animals’ wellbeing. With its more than 3,700 square meters of offices and facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories, Imeve develops probiotic, animal health, feed supplement and pet products. Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Jaboticabal in São Paulo, Brazil, Imeve employs approximately 90 people.

This included providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, due diligence and negotiation phases of the transaction.
