Bregal Unternehmerkapital has acquired Onlineprinters

Bregal Unternehmerkapital (“Bregal”) acquired all shares in Onlineprinters GmbH (“Onlineprinters”) from TA Associates Management LP. Lincoln International acted as exclusive financial advisor to Bregal on this transaction. The acquisition financing was arranged by DZ Bank, Bayerische Landesbank, Deutsche Bank and Raiffeisen Bank International.

Lincoln International acted as exclusive debt advisor to Bregal and supported Bregal in all aspects of the acquisition financing, including full process preparation, technology sector knowledge, developing an appropriate financing structure and contract negotiations. The identification and approach of suitable lenders and the initiation of a competitive financing process were focal points of this transaction.

Onlineprinters

Founded in 2004 by Walter Meyer, Onlineprinters is a web-to-print service provider focused on B2B solutions. The company has grown strongly in recent years and evolved as one of the market leaders in the European online printing market, operating under the brand “DieDruckerei” in Germany and “Onlineprinters” in the rest of Europe. The company’s main products are marketing materials such as brochures, flyers and posters primarily for small and medium-sized businesses. Last year, Onlineprinters produced more than 2.1 billion printed products and served more than 500,000 customers. The company is active in over 30 European countries and has more than 600 employees.

As part of the transaction, Walter Meyer will move from his position as Managing Director of the company to the newly created Advisory Board. In this new role, he will remain an active advisor to the company. He will also continue to hold a stake in Onlineprinters.
