Aheim Capital has sold Aqua Vital Group to Halder
Funds advised by Aheim Capital, together with co-investors and management, sold their stake in Aqua Vital Group to the mid-cap investor Halder. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Neuss, Germany, Aqua Vital Group is a leading supplier of water coolers servicing over 30,000 commercial customers with a focus on the German-speaking region. The product offering comprises both “bottled water” coolers, dispensing water from gallons mounted on top of the device, and “point of use” coolers, sourcing their water from the local water pipe they are connected to. Together with external partners, Aqua Vital provides device installation, delivery of consumables and technical servicing of the coolers. Founded in 1999, the company employs 200 staff and expects strong growth in both segments, but especially in point of use coolers. Halder will support Aqua Vital Group in this growth phase and will back the management team in this endeavor.
Funds advised by Aheim Capital, headquartered in Starnberg, Germany, invest in profitable mid-cap companies generating sales of up to Euro 75 million undergoing succession and growth situations. Thereby, the Aheim funds are flexible with regard to minority or majority shareholdings. As a general principle, all portfolio companies show significant equity investment by the management teams.
The Frankfurt, Germany-based financial sponsor Halder invests equity in mid-cap companies through management buyouts. Since 1991, Halder has operated as private equity house in Germany and has provided capital for 34 mid-cap companies for succession and growth. Currently, Halder invests from a fund of Euro 325 million which has acquired five companies already.
