Satellite Tracking of People LLC has been sold to Securus Technologies, a portfolio company of Abry Partners

Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce that Satellite Tracking of People LLC (“STOP” or the “Company”) has been sold to Securus Technologies, Inc. (“Securus”), a portfolio company of ABRY Partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2004 and based in Houston, Texas, STOP is the leading provider of GPS-based offender tracking and monitoring devices in the U.S. The Company’s reputation is synonymous with highly innovative machine-to-machine communication technology and exceptional customer service, including outbound monitoring and in-bound call center activities. STOP enjoys deep, longstanding relationships with over 400 government agencies who utilize the Company’s technology and service offerings to lower costs for corrections agencies, provide a solution for prison overcrowding, enhance public safety and improve operating efficiencies.

Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to STOP, working closely with the management team and shareholders throughout the sale process. This included providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.
