Simon heads Lincoln’s European transaction opinions offering as part of the firm’s Valuations & Opinions Group. He has over a decade of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and independent board advisory / transaction opinions.

Simon provides financial and valuation advice to private equity firms as well as public and private companies and their boards. He focuses on fairness and solvency opinions, including related / cross-fund deals, GP-led secondary recapitalizations, take-privates, leveraged buyouts, related-party transactions, spin-offs, de-SPACs, capital raises, dividend recapitalizations and corporate restructurings.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Simon was Managing Director, Corporate Finance and Co-Head of EMEA Transaction Opinions at Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) where he spearheaded the practice’s expansion. He also held roles in M&A advisory at the firm with a focus on software, technology, media and telecom (TMT) and industrials.

Simon holds a diploma (equivalent to a Master of Science) in management and economics from the University of Ulm, Germany and the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland. He also earned a doctorate degree (Dr. rer. pol.) in finance from the University of Ulm.
