Scott is a Director in Lincoln’s Valuations & Opinions Group advising a wide range of alternative asset managers on valuing their illiquid positions. He focuses on loans, subordinated and mezzanine debt, convertible debt and common and preferred equity.

Scott has extensive experience in executing valuations of businesses and their underlying securities for tax, financial reporting and strategic planning purposes as well as performing decision support analyses for transactions under consideration. He provides alternative investment valuations for private equity funds, business development companies and venture capital funds.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Scott was a Director at Duff & Phelps / Kroll where he led recurring portfolio valuation engagements for funds with multi-billion-dollar portfolios totaling more than 300 investments. Previously, he was a proprietary trader where he developed and executed absolute return trading and investment strategies, including fundamental, quantitative and technical approaches for various asset classes. Before that, he was an assistant portfolio manager at an Atlanta-based fixed income manager where he oversaw credit and rates derivatives and hedging.

Scott earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA Society Atlanta.
