Derek provides mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and growth equity advisory services to healthcare information technology (HCIT) entrepreneurs, executives and investors served by Lincoln’s Technology and Healthcare Groups. Derek has spent his entire career working with disruptive public and private HCIT companies, acting as a trusted advisor on dozens of transactions ranging from sell-side and buy-side M&A, capital raising and public financings.

As a result of attractive industry tailwinds, favorable secular trends in healthcare technology and numerous successful client outcomes, Derek has built a unique perspective on the nuances of various healthcare end markets and the true value drivers of successful HCIT companies. Derek is focused on building deep relationships with his clients and creates a tailored approach for each situation to optimize the outcome for his clients during some of the most critical times of their professional careers.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Derek was a Managing Director at Spurrier Capital Partners (SCP), which was acquired by Lincoln in early 2022. Previously, Derek worked in healthcare investment banking at Merrill Lynch and Leerink Partners, in various roles on both M&A advisory and capital markets execution.

Derek has a Master of Business Administration from the Tepper School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
