Lincoln International’s Special Situations Group Completes a Record Year and is awarded M&A Advisor’s Distressed Transaction of the Year
Lincoln International’s Special Situations Group completed a record year in 2014, with successful financial restructuring and distressed sale transactions across a number of industries. These transactions, along with our active assignments, build on the over 150 special situation transactions previously completed by our team. This experience, combined with our market leading M&A and debt capital markets platform, deep industry expertise and global access, enables us to provide our clients with unmatched capabilities focused exclusively on the middle market.
In December 2014, Lincoln International received the M&A Advisor’s “Distressed M&A Deal of the Year” award for deals between $100 million and $1 billion as a result of its outstanding work in advising Constar International Holdings (“Constar” or the “Company”) on its sale to Plastipak Holdings, Inc. (“Plastipak”) and Greybull Capital LLP. Lincoln was chosen from over 250 participating companies and was selected based on the firm’s demonstrated ability to bring significant cross-border capabilities to bear in a complex Chapter 11 case.
“Lincoln’s track record of successful debtor representations, international capabilities and industry expertise enabled us to navigate the numerous obstacles that arose throughout the process,” said Alex Stevenson, Managing Director of Lincoln International and senior advisor on the transaction. “We are proud to be recognized for these capabilities and would like to thank the management team and other professionals involved in the transaction, whose contributions and hard work made this successful result possible.”
Joe Radecki, head of Lincoln’s Special Situations group, remarked, “This award reflects the quality of transaction outcomes achieved by Lincoln’s special situations and financial restructuring advisory practice. We appreciate our global middle market clients’ continued confidence in our ability to drive these outcomes which has resulted in a record number of consummated deals in 2014 for us and the continued growth of our Group.
