Lincoln International adds Juan Carlos Montoya as Managing Director

Lincoln International, a global investment banking advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Juan Carlos Montoya has joined as a Managing Director in the firm’s Industrials Group in Frankfurt.

Juan Carlos will provide mergers and acquisitions advisory services to corporate and private equity clients across Europe, North America and Asia, with a focus on energy transition. He brings 15+ years of industry experience to the firm.

“The energy transition sector is undergoing rapid changes, with business leaders and investors focusing on innovative strategies to navigate the market landscape,” Guillaume Suizdak, Managing Director and head of Lincoln’s European Industrials Group, commented. “Juan Carlos’ extensive global transaction experience and industry expertise make him an invaluable addition to our team, strengthening Lincoln’s industrials origination and execution momentum, notably in the DACH region. We are excited to integrate his knowledge to help our clients capitalize on energy transition opportunities.”

Juan Carlos’ appointment aligns with Lincoln’s strategy of investing in senior expertise through lateral Managing Director hires, including Carlos CandilEverett Currier and Aaron Klein who also joined to partner with energy transition clients earlier this year. These efforts have resulted in nine new Managing Directors in Europe and 15 globally, year to date.

Lincoln’s advisory professionals in the Americas, Asia and Europe collaborate closely through the firm’s integrated global platform to produce positive client outcomes.

“I am excited to join Lincoln and work with a talented global team dedicated to driving the energy transition forward,” Juan Carlos said. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to help our clients navigate the evolving energy landscape and achieve positive outcomes.”

Prior to joining Lincoln, Juan Carlos was a Managing Director at Alantra where he focused on cleantech and energy transition. Previously, he worked at Clearwater International.
