Gianluca Banfi joins Lincoln International as a Managing Director in Italy

The Milan office now has 6 senior bankers and total staff of 15

Lincoln International, a leading global, mid-market investment bank, announced today that it has expanded its Italian team by appointing Gianluca Banfi as a Managing Director. He will be based in Lincoln International’s Milan office and will focus on origination and execution of merger and acquisition transactions. He will work closely with his colleagues across Lincoln’s 17 offices in 14 countries to increase the firm’s cross-border deal making capabilities.

Gianluca has over 30 years of transaction experience, having advised numerous Italian and international corporations, family-owned businesses and leading private firms. Throughout his career, Gianluca spent two decades in the investment banking business, most recently as Executive Director (Head) of the corporate finance division at Finanziaria Internazionale, a private Italian investment bank. Prior to Finanziaria Internazionale, Gianluca spent several years as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, where he headed the Italian M&A practice, and as a Vice President at Citigroup. He also spent more than ten years in private equity as a Director at Morgan Grenfell Private Equity and as CEO of Arca Impresa Gestioni SGR, an Italian private equity firm focused on the mid-market.
