Event | Economic and Healthcare Spending
Nov 2021
On 6 November 2021, the Lincoln International Healthcare team hosted a C-Suite focused evening at Dartmouth House in Mayfair, co-sponsored by CIL Consulting and Global Counsel, with guest speakers David Smith, Economics Editor of the Sunday Times, and Matthew Swindells, the former Deputy CEO of NHS England.
Key highlights included:
- A critique of both Conservative and Labour policies in the run up to the election, including opinions on outsourcing to the private sector
- Concern over the impact of Brexit on various areas of healthcare, including staff recruitment and retention
- NHS spending will increase regardless of who wins the election, but it may need to increase further to meet the demands placed upon it
