Mitsui has sold Hannibal Industries, Inc. to management
Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, today announced that Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. (“Mitsui USA”) has sold Hannibal Industries, Inc. (“Hannibal” or the “Company”) to senior management through the formation of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan led by Hannibal’s President, Blanton Bartlett. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Located in Los Angeles, California, Hannibal is a leading manufacturer of steel tube and material handling products. The Company is a value added metal fabricator offering custom carbon steel tubing products to original equipment manufacturers, distributors and retailers in residential construction, automotive, general manufacturing, exercise equipment and other markets. Hannibal is also a leading designer and manufacturer of a wide range of racking products for distribution and retail customers. The Company is the largest manufacturer of storage racks and provider of warehouse solutions west of the Rocky Mountains.
Lincoln International worked closely with Hannibal’s senior management team and Mitsui USA throughout the sale process. This included providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction. The sale of Hannibal builds upon Lincoln International’s strong global industrials experience, having completed approximately 35 deals in the past year.
