Deutsche Bahn has sold Nuclear Cargo + Services to DAHER
Die Deutsche Bahn AG and Stinnes AG have successfully completed the sale of 100% of the shares in Nuclear Cargo + Service GmbH (NCS) with the effective date of January 1, 2007 to Compagnie Daher S.A. of France. Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price or other transaction details.
NCS provides global land, air and sea freight transportation services for radioactive materials for both the front-end and back-end segments of the nuclear cycle. In this sector, NCS is considered to be a major global player. In addition, NCS provides transportation and freight forwarding services for large and heavy cargo equipment of over 100 tons and up to 450 tons. Types of cargo include equipment for power plants, steel mills, refineries, mining equipment or anything else that requires special transportation know-how and technical capabilities for transportation.
