Freudenberg Group has sold its automotive actuators business to EKK Group
Freudenberg & Co. KG, the German family owned Group headquartered in Weinheim, has sold 100% of its shares in its actuators operations to the public listed Japanese group Eagle Industry Co. Ltd (EKK). Freudenberg’s actuators business develops and distributes tailor-made engineered solutions for actuating components enabling fuel efficiency and CO2 emission reduction in ICE, turbo charged and hybrid vehicles.
Freudenberg is a family company offering its customers technically challenging product solutions and services. The Freudenberg Group is first and foremost a supplier specializing in seals and vibration control technology, nonwovens, filtration, lubricants and release agents as well as mechatronic products. The Freudenberg Group employed around 34,000 people in 59 countries and generated sales of more than 5.4 billion euros in 2010.
EKK manufactures and markets mechanical seals, special valves, plant devices, marine-related products, bellows devices; and related installation work for the automotive and general industry as well as for maritime and aerospace applications. The Transaction represents the 26th successful transaction of the Lincoln International Global Automotive and Truck Group since 2008.
