Univertical Corporation has been sold to ALCONIX Corporation

Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, announced the sale of Univertical Corporation (“Univertical” or the “Company”) to ALCONIX Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange, First Section: 3036).

Univertical is North America’s leading manufacturer of premium metal anodes, chemicals and chemical solutions used in metal plating processes. Univertical serves a broad base of blue-chip customers in the general metal finishing (aerospace, appliances, building products, coinage, electronics), plating-on-plastic (automotive), printed circuit board, solar energy and semiconductor markets. The Company’s products are used as critical inputs by manufacturers for functional purposes, such as achieving superior conductivity characteristics of copper on printed circuit boards, semiconductors and solar panels; improving appearance and preventing rust or corrosion. Univertical has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Angola, Indiana, and in Suzhou, China. ALCONIX trades a broad range of non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper and nickel. The acquisition of Univertical expands ALCONIX’s operations beyond its current core activities as a non-ferrous metals trader and provides it with a significant market position in the U.S.

Lincoln acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Univertical, working closely with the senior management team throughout the sale process. This included providing advisory expertise and managing the marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.
