Dow AgroSciences has sold its Vikane and ProFume businesses to Douglas Products

Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce that Dow AgroSciences LLC (“Dow AgroSciences”) has completed the sale of its sulfuryl fluoride businesses, Vikane and ProFume (collectively the “Sulfuryl Fluoride Business” or the “Business”), to Douglas Products, LLC (“Douglas”). Altamont Capital Partners (“Altamont”) provided capital to support the acquisition. Dow AgroSciences and Douglas have entered into a long-term agreement for Dow AgroSciences to continue to operate the Business’ manufacturing facility on Douglas’ behalf. Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Sulfuryl Fluoride Business is a leading provider of sulfuryl fluoride (“SF”) fumigants for use in structural and post-harvest pest control. The Business markets its products under the trademarks Vikane and ProFume. For over 50 years, Vikane has been effectively used to protect residential and commercial buildings from drywood termites, bed bugs and other pests. ProFume is used in post-harvest storage, as well as in handling and processing cereal grains.

Lincoln acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Dow AgroSciences in this transaction. Lincoln’s role included providing mergers and acquisitions advisory expertise, preparing marketing materials, coordinating with and contacting buyers, managing due diligence and assisting in the final negotiation phases of the transaction.
