Lincoln International expands Private Funds Advisory Group into Europe

Jonathan Graham appointed as Managing Director to lead efforts from London

Lincoln International, a global investment banking advisory firm, announced that it has expanded its Private Funds Advisory (PFA) capabilities into Europe with the appointment of Jonathan Graham as Managing Director in London.

Jonathan brings more than two decades of expertise to Lincoln including secondary and primary placement throughout Europe, Asia and North America.

The Private Funds Advisory Group was established in 2022, adding a valuable complement to Lincoln’s other advisory services offered to private equity (PE). The team has closed over 15 private capital vehicles in the last year, working with GPs to drive liquidity in existing investments and support capital raising for new investments and funds. These include single-asset vehicles, primary funds and GP-led continuation funds. The group’s growth into Europe allows the introduction of these services to PE clients seeking liquidity options regardless of market dynamics.

“PE continues to face the challenges of fundraising and providing liquidity to investors given the ongoing subdued M&A market,” said Steve Carre, Managing Director and co-head of Lincoln’s Private Funds Advisory Group. “Clients value our ability to collaborate across the Lincoln platform to leverage both product and industry expertise to provide strategic guidance. Our team is experiencing incredible success and we’re excited for Jonathan to introduce PFA to European clients.”

Prior to joining Lincoln, Jonathan was a Managing Director at Asante Capital Group where he focused on GP-led transactions.

“I have admired the growth of Lincoln’s Private Funds Advisory Group and the firm’s enhanced presence across Europe,” Jonathan said. “I am looking forward to collaborating with colleagues across industry and product groups to identify and create private capital solutions – whether for additional investment opportunities or as an alternative to a full exit.”

Lincoln International has built a strong market position in all major European commercial centers. Jonathan’s appointment aligns with the firm’s investments in senior expertise through lateral Managing Director hiring. To date, in 2024, these efforts have resulted in seven new Managing Directors in Europe and nine globally.
