Founders and private shareholders have sold Nispera to Fluence
Nispera
Nispera provides an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine-learning enabled Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to monitor, analyze and optimize the performance and value of renewable energy assets. Nispera’s core offering is an AI-driven, utility-scale asset performance management (APM) application that currently has eight gigawatts of assets under management across 450 wind and solar projects. On top of the core APM platform, the company offers SaaS solutions for operations and maintenance, predictive maintenance as well as portfolio management. In addition, Nispera provides SaaS-based power generation forecasting solutions for energy traders, large asset managers and financial institutions (approximately 20 gigawatts).
The Deal
Following a comprehensive process involving both strategic and financial investors, the Nispera team decided to join Fluence. Nispera will take a strategic role in leading Fluence’s digital asset management solutions business, creating a unique partnership that will accelerate the clean energy transition through asset performance management expertise and energy storage insights.
Our Perspective
Christoph-Sebastian Meier, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Switzerland office, commented, “The sale of Nispera to Fluence is a thrilling example of how mergers and acquisitions (M&A) can help to transform the way we power our world. We are very proud to have facilitated this deal that brings together two key players who lead the way in the global clean energy transition.”
